Moving to a static website

I’m not sure where the idea for thi actually came from, maybe a wish to move away from Wordpress, perhaps just wanting to get back to something a little more hand crafted, like in the old days, it’s hard to say. But now here I am creating blog posts in a text editor, albeit using Mark-Down rather than pure html.
